Written by former mill worker Mary Strathie, who was herself a ‘derner’ in the 1950s
This gritty comedy is regarded as a piece of social history which focuses on the lives and loves of the seven ‘derners’, as they prepare for Langholm’s Common Riding celebrations in 1953.
Adapted for the Langholm stage in 1999 By Maureen Borthwick.
